"Frosted flakes brought just as much joy to my soul as cold honey ham would :)"
- Erin's comment after her and her companions abandoned the huge line for Christmas dinner and hit the cereal bar instead!

Well, hello, hello, hello!
Where are we at....Monday...Christmas Eve...The days all
mesh into one around here at the MTC. Monday...Thursday...Saturday...they're
all the same. Even today being P-day, it's just P-day. The fact that it is Monday
suddenly means nothing to me. Ha! But it is Christmas Eve so Merry Christmas
everyone!
The MTC is amazing!! What a place to be, and during the Christmas
holiday!! I couldn't ask for anything better than this! The spirit is so strong
here during this time of year (as I'm sure it is others) but especially here at
this time.
Now I'm sure you're all wondering...who's your companion,
who are you working with, who's your new appendage? Well everyone, let me
assure you that she's wonderful!! Her name is Sister Sarah Benson from Mapleton.
She's the former Miss Springville and she's AWESOME! She’s so in tune with the
spirit and so spiritual. I feel like I'm trying to keep up with her! I'm also
here with Sis. Chilcott, from Riverton, and Sis. Curtis, who’s “a military brat
from everywhere” (her words not mine!) They really are amazing sisters and they
have grown my testimony so much!
My district also happens to be the best district (yeah, I
just said that!) You forget you're hanging out with 19 year old boys. We're so
close as a district. They're so caring and thoughtful. In fact, Sunday was Sis.
Benson's birthday and all the elders got together and made this 'treat Santa
hat' full of goodies for her. They sang to her and everything! You thought you
had the best district here at the MTC...I beg to differ. :)
Our zone leaders are awesome too!! They came in the first
night and laid down the lines...DON’T TOUCH THE SNOW! ...sigh...that's been
hard, especially since it's been snowing all day...but whatever the zone leaders
says, goes! But really, they're awesome and that's what makes our district
awesome!
Yup, everyone was right. We wake up, study, eat, study, eat,
study, eat, and go to bed, quite literally, and I love it! It's like being back
in school! :D There's so much to learn
and so much to study that all the study time becomes much appreciated. I may be
changing my mind in a week or so, but as of now... I'm quite a happy camper.
We're at the tip of the iceberg for all the *new* sister
missionaries. There’s about eight new 19 year old missionaries and only a hand
full of 18 year old elders. But they said in about two or three weeks more than
half this place will be full of sister missionaries. I don’t know where they're
going to put them...they can have my bed. I'll be out of here by then! Things
are going to explode around here! But I'll be here for the last of the quiet
part.
Our mission president
is President Jones from Mapleton. And honestly...he looks like the turtle guy
from Kung Fu Panda. He's so freakin’ cool!! Such a sweet man and his wife's a
sweetheart too! :) :)
Alright, so this
week's a little short, it's only been like...5 days! But they'll be more to
come!
The church is true!
The spirit is SO strong here! You come in thinking you know stuff, but then, BOOM!,
you suddenly feel like you know nothing. Then they come back and teach you how
to love, how to teach and then you catch on fire. With so much praying, so much
teaching and studying, it's grown my testimony more than I ever could have
imaged it to. The church is true, the Lord loves his children!!
Love you all!
